Orbitron Microreactor G1R GLi / M1R GLi, which has received tremendous support from our customers.
For both models,
production and sales will be completely discontinued after the current production run and the remaining stock.
This decision is not merely a discontinuation of sales.
First, it is important to note that both models
were offered at prices that were too low relative to their performance, resulting in a business structure that has been unprofitable for a long time.
However, there are even more significant factors at play.
・Starting in May 2025, China’s rare earth export restrictions will result in a complete halt to the supply of necessary materials.
・Furthermore, due to the impact of the conflict between the U.S. and Iran, the paint we have traditionally used will be discontinued starting in March 2025.
These two external factors have led to a situation where
manufacturing itself has become physically impossible to continue.
To begin with, due to the sharp rise in raw material costs in recent years,
it had become extremely difficult to continue manufacturing at the existing price point.
In other words, this discontinuation is
an unavoidable decision resulting from a situation where “we want to make them, but we can’t.”
So, what kind of products were they?
The G1R GLi / M1R GLi are not just ordinary parts.
