NEXT SCIENCE Co., Ltd. was founded in January 2010 as Landmaster Japan Co., Ltd. The company changed its name to Landmaster Co., Ltd. on February 1, 2018, and to its current name, NEXT SCIENCE Co., Ltd., on July 18, 2025.
We have inherited the research and development, products, technologies, and intellectual property cultivated as Landmaster Co., Ltd., and today, as NEXT SCIENCE, we continue to expand our fields of research.

Message from the President

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Toward the state things are meant to be.
Turning unseen possibilities into reality through science and verification.
NEXT SCIENCE Co., Ltd. is a company that begins by questioning what is taken for granted: “Is this truly the best possible state?” “Is there a way to bring out more of its inherent performance?” “Could there still be possibilities that have not yet been recognized?”
Throughout my work, I have valued not judging by theory alone, but first thinking, making, testing, comparing, and looking closely at the results.
Even when an idea begins with intuition, bringing it to the world as a product requires testing it in real environments, measuring it, organizing the conditions, and clearly distinguishing what has been confirmed from what has not yet been confirmed.
When a result appears, we consider why. When the result is not what we expected, that too is important information that guides the next stage of development.
What matters to NEXT SCIENCE is not collecting only convenient results. It is facing the facts and finding the next possibility within them.
We have worked across fields that may appear unrelated at first glance: electronic environments, friction and lubrication, combustion and fuels, materials and functional components, Life & Nature, and people and organizations.
To me, however, they are all connected by one idea.
Machines, materials, environments, and people each have their own inherent characteristics and possibilities.
Rather than forcing something extra onto them, we look for the factors that are holding them back, improve the conditions, and help bring out what is already there. This is also the idea behind the name NEXT SCIENCE.
MISSION
Through science and empirical verification,
we bring out the inherent potential of people, machines, materials, and environments.
Without being constrained by conventional assumptions or the boundaries between fields, we seek possibilities that have not yet been fully utilized and deliver them to society as useful technologies, products, and systems.
VISION
To remain an R&D company willing to pursue questions that no one has yet answered.
Our scope is not limited to automobiles and industrial machinery. It extends to energy, the environment, materials, life, and people and organizations.
By connecting different fields, we aim to create new value and see technologies and ideas born at NEXT SCIENCE become part of the next generation’s everyday standards.
VALUES
We use not only the results we hoped for, but also cases where no change could be confirmed, as information for the next stage of development.
Rather than dismissing a new idea, we first turn it into a hypothesis, prototype it, compare it, and verify it.
We distinguish subjective impressions, measurements, test results, and theory instead of treating them as the same thing.
We are not constrained by conventional industry classifications and combine different technologies and knowledge when needed.
Technology and business ultimately exist for people. We value trust with our customers, researchers, engineers, and partner companies.
In Closing
I did not begin this company with a finished set of answers.
Rather, NEXT SCIENCE as it exists today is the result of continuing to pursue questions one by one: “Why does this happen?” and “Could this be made better?”
Research and development never truly ends. What we believe to be correct today may change with a new discovery.
That is why we move forward without being bound by fixed assumptions, always looking at the results and turning possibilities we cannot yet see into something real.
NEXT SCIENCE will continue to pursue the next possibility, with science and empirical verification at the core of what we do.

Preserving Research Results as Technology.
As a result of research and development continuing from our years as Landmaster Co., Ltd., we have obtained multiple patents in Japan and overseas. NEXT SCIENCE Co., Ltd. continues to hold this intellectual property following the company name change in 2025.
We not only apply research results to products, but also protect them as intellectual property and carry them forward into future research and development.
