ORBITRON × NAM | Design Philosophy for Electronic Environment and Vehicle Conditioning

At ORBITRON, we focus on the state of the electrical and electronic systems that make up vehicles and machinery, conducting research and development from the perspective of the electronic environment.

Modern automobiles are comprised of numerous electronic controls, including not only engines and motors, but also ECUs, various sensors, communication systems, and electrical equipment.

For this reason, our development theme is not simply to add power output, but to create an environment where the entire vehicle can function in its intended state.

The "Electronic Environment" according to ORBITRON

Vehicles contain various elements such as potential differences, static electricity, grounding, and electrical noise.

At ORBITRON, we focus on these electronic environments in vehicles, repeating prototyping and verification while changing materials, shapes, placement, and connection methods.

The important thing is not to forcibly add anything.

It is based on the philosophy of searching for factors that hinder the vehicle's inherent functions and conditioning those states.

The NAM Development Concept

NAM is one of the research concepts in ORBITRON's next-generation development.

We are researching this as a way of thinking to continuously verify which conditions relate to vehicle behavior and the electronic environment, amidst differences in vehicle models, electrical configurations, driving conditions, temperatures, and usage environments.

We emphasize evaluating by comparing multiple conditions rather than looking at only one fixed condition.

Going Beyond Just Intuition

Automotive products are often discussed based on impressions after installation.

However, at NEXT SCIENCE, we do not draw conclusions based solely on subjective experience; we value accumulating verification by performing measurements, comparisons, and reproducibility checks whenever possible, even in cases where results cannot be confirmed.

Because results may vary depending on the vehicle model, specifications, and usage environment, we do not apply a single result to all vehicles.

What ORBITRON Aims For

What ORBITRON aims for is not to add flashy numerical figures.

It is to observe the vehicle from the domain of the electronic environment, which is usually difficult to see, and to seek out a better state.

We will continue to connect our research to new product development by repeating prototyping, actual driving tests, measurements, and comparisons.
